Electroinsulating Polymers into Sustainable Functional Composite Materials
Details
We are looking for partners to cooperate on a Horizon Europe project focused on the recycling and reuse of cured electroinsulating polymers such as polyurethane and epoxy-based materials. These materials are widely used in the electrotechnical sector (transformers, cables, encapsulations) but become non-recyclable waste at end-of-life.
Our research team has developed a method to process such cured waste into functional fillers for new composite materials with preserved or improved dielectric and thermal properties. We are open to project cooperation with industrial and academic partners active in sustainable materials, polymer processing, circular economy, and applied electrotechnics.
