Lisanne Kächele

I have more than a decade of experience in applied research on user state detection, a field I helped shape as a project lead at a leading research institute in Düsseldorf. Following this work, I founded the non-profit research association 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞.𝐕., where I continue to serve as Managing Director. The association’s scientific leadership is held by Prof. Dr. Jarek Krajewski, an internationally recognized expert with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, more than 4,200 citations, an h-index of 26.

In light of the evolving security landscape following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, my research focus increasingly shifted toward national defense readiness and resilient human-machine interaction in military applications. As part of this development, I initiated my first projects in the defence sector. To meet the stringent security clearance requirements and operational conditions associated with such work, I subsequently established the commercial enterprise 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which consolidates and advances these specialized research and development activities in a professional setting.
