As a business development advisor for the central Styrian region, I am your first point of contact for questions about regional, national and European funding.
The SFG is wholly owned by the province of Styria in Austria. As the regional business promotion agency, the role of the SFG is to grow and consolidate the Styrian economy. We strive to attract new business to the region with a view to encouraging industrial expansion. New company formations are intensively supported in the areas of site selection, incentives and local formalities. We also work in partnership with the region’s existing companies offering a broad range of services free of charge. These range from general information, advice on grants and financing to internationalisation. We act as a link to Styrian technology and innovation centres as well as to networks and clusters. We are proud partner of the Enterprise Europe Network.
Michael studied economics and adult education in Graz, Ireland and Spain, worked as trainer, in an IT Start-up and at a consulting company. In 2005 he joined the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG), where in 2008 he integrated the Enterprise Europe Network into the SFG’s service portfolio. In his role as business development advisor, he supports start-up and SMEs. Michael is also the Styrian contact point for Horizon Europe. Within the EEN, he is co-chairing the Networks Groups on European Research & Innovation and Renewable Energy and acts as one of Austria's Scale-Up Advisors.
