Infrastructure-Light Communications for First Responders Using the Active Multiplexer Unit (AMU), an antenna consolidation invention.

Nerlos is seeking partners for collaborative Horizon Europe Cluster 3 projects focused on resilient communications for public safety and first responders using the Active Multiplexer Unit (AMU).

The AMU enables multiple radio systems to operate through simplified physical infrastructure, reducing antenna and cabling requirements while improving coverage continuity and deployment flexibility in emergency and crisis-response scenarios.

The proposed collaboration aims to explore, adapt, and validate the AMU in civil-security use cases such as disaster response, temporary command centers, and critical public-service operations, with an emphasis on interoperability with existing communication systems.

Nerlos is interested in working with research organizations, public authorities, first-responder entities, and industry partners to jointly shape project concepts, define pilot use cases, and contribute to proposals under the Horizon Europe Cluster 3 – 2026–2027 Work Programme.
