Digitisation in contemporary, immaterial and digital Art
Details
Kunsthaus Graz could make significant contributions to the digitisation of cultural heritage, particularly in the context of the HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01 call.
Kunsthaus Graz is an exhibition and production house that combines international contemporary art with regional and local themes and tasks.
Since Kunsthaus opened in 2003, the specific spatial conditions and the fundamental orientation of the building as an experimental art space with a focus on current new productions have led to the development of artisticworks that can only be presented at Kunsthaus Graz. This has resulted in an in-house collection of site-specific individual works as well as a continuously growing archive, whose collections primarily comprise artistic works for the unique BIX media façade as well as concepts for installations in the space. This archive is primarily immaterial in nature and consists of digitally stored documents and code for the BIX media façade. After 20 years, it is now time to organize and document this archive, to thinkabout how to store it and - where legally possible - to make it available.
