UNIVIE is the largest Austrian research institution hosting 6,800 academics within 15 faculties and five centres. Furthermore, 26 research platforms have been established to promote especially innovative interdisciplinary research projects. UNIVIE hosts the highest number of MSCA Fellowships and Innovative (PhD) Training Networks in Austria and has also signed the Charter and Code for Researchers. The research activities are highly internationally integrated.
