About Us: CraftWerk Obervellach is a pioneering initiative dedicated to revitalizing rural areas through sustainable craftsmanship, digital innovation, and community engagement. Our mission is to create a vibrant ecosystem that fosters creativity, supports local artisans, and integrates modern technologies to promote regional development.​

Our Focus Areas: Digital Innovation in Traditional Crafts: Establishing Digital Innovation Hubs and Makerspaces to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern digital tools.​

Education and Skill Development: Implementing mentoring programs and educational workshops to nurture talent and address the challenges of brain drain in rural communities.​

Sustainable Regional Economy: Promoting green jobs, circular economy practices, and sustainable use of local resources, particularly in the wood and tourism industries.​

Community Co-Creation: Engaging local residents through participatory processes like BarCamps and collaborative projects to ensure inclusive and community-driven development.​

Our Objectives:

Enhance Cross-Border Collaborations: Seeking partnerships with organizations across Europe to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and co-develop projects that align with Horizon Europe's goals.​

Participate in EU-Funded Projects: Aiming to contribute to Horizon Europe initiatives, particularly within Clusters 2 (Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society), 4 (Digital, Industry and Space), and 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility).​

Innovate Rural Development Models: Aspiring to serve as a model for integrating digital innovation into rural economies, demonstrating the potential for sustainable and inclusive growth.​
