CPI, based in the UK, are a leading independent research & technology innovation centre and a member of the UK Government’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult.

CPI’s £30m National Industrial Biotechnology Facility has extensive capabilities; fermentation laboratory (1ml–10L), pilot facility (10L-750L), demonstration facility (10,000L) alongside downstream processing capabilities. CPI's Novel Food Innovation Centre (NFIC), a FSSC22000 certified centre of excellence has fermentation capability including SOTA robotic bioreactor for screening and DoE, suite of 1L precision fermentation bioreactors, wave-bag bioreactor and 50L food grade bioreactor for generating material under HACCP for human taste trials.

CPI also houses the UK's National formulation centre which offers tailored solutions for developing and optimising your liquid and powder formulations, nanomaterials, composites, chemical processes and new technologies.

CPI has expertise evaluating the economic and environmental sustainability of developments providing techno-economic and life cycle analyses to enable holistic decisions to be made.

CPI are seeking to join consortia to assist with projects within the AgriFood and Sustainable, bio-based alternatives (e.g. chemicals).
